I am a retired clinical psychologist and father of The Hug Doctor.  Hello and welcome to my hugging experience. Every time I read Father's Day Hugging Journey I love it. It tells me again and again that our father-son relationship is doing well and filled with mutual love and appreciation...as this is being written it is day 16 and I am excited about what will unfold in this final week.

It took me a little while to warm to this idea of a 21 day hugging journey even though I am a big fan of hugs.  Now I am on my first 21 day hugging journey with Stone and it has been pretty amazing.  We are a week in and I'm impressed by how this is grounding me and giving me some concrete tools to take care of myself, be more fit and even have more fun.   I hope you will join us!

HUG IT FORWARD Day 14

Tell us all about your 21 Day Hugging Journey

Day 14 was an inspiration.  Hard to believe that this is already 2 weeks in.  This has been such a simple yet meaningful and positive journey.  I was never really on FB much at all prior to this journey and I am starting to see some of it's benefits.  I posted this about my journey and my son, Every time I read Father's Day Hugging Journey I love it. It tells me again and again that our father-son relationship is doing well and filled with mutual love and appreciation. And now, for the first time we are helping each other to work on goals we have each chosen to become healthier and happier people. What could be better? My "son the hug doctor" has provided for anyone at no cost a way to be successful in making changes in their life that can make their futures better. This is a big step forward and I am very proud of him."

It is day 7 and have just finished cleaning out the koi pond and looking forward to having some friends over tonight.

Day 8 and talking to my son as I type this, it's great to be in contact each day.   I'm working to figure out how to post a new picture for my profile pic of when I was zip lining.

One of the parts of my journey that I am focusing on is cleaning my sleep machine more regularly.  This is going well and I feel more comfortable knowing that it is being cleaned the way it is supposed to which I have been putting off for a long time.  I have also regularly been doing my stretches and I am feeling like I am making some progress that I wasn't able to do before I got a plan with my hugging accountability buddy.

I am also brainstorming how to have the journey have more of an impact for veterans and trying to find ways where the website can be a resource for any individuals and agencies that are searching for tools for prevention and connection.  I'd welcome anyones thoughts on the journey or reading these words and I'm excited about the power of what we can create together.
